Wirewin Patch cable RJ-45 - RJ-45, Cat 6, UTP, 2 m, Black
Category 6 UTP patch cable
- Halogen-free, flame-retardant jacket
- Strands of 100% copper
- Gold plated connectors with bend protection
Wirewin UTP patch cables are characterized by their high quality and are suitable for Gigabit connections with up to 250 MHz operating frequency. Application areas for category 6 cables are voice, multimedia and data transmission as well as ATM networks.
Halogen free jacket
The strands of 100% copper are unshielded and the cable further has a kink protection. The sheath is made halogen-free and is extremely flame retardant.
Structure of a UTP cable
The UTP cable consists of a plastic jacket in which the unshielded pairs of stranded wires are located. Due to the lack of a shield, UTP cables have a small outer diameter and are easy to process and install.
Halogen free jacket
The bend protection sleeves in a particularly narrow design enable convenient cabling even for larger switches with 48 ports and more.
Halogen free jacket
In contrast to conventional PVC cables, these cables are halogen-free: The dangerous release of halogen-containing fire gases is thus excluded and smoke generation is minimized. Halogen-free cables are also flame-retardant and there is no dangerous ignition cord effect.
UTP – Unscreened/Unshielded Twisted Pair Cable
UTP cables consist of a plastic jacket in which the unshielded pairs of stranded wires are located. Due to the lack of a shield, UTP cables have a small outer diameter and are easy to process and install. Worldwide, these are the most widely used cables for Ethernet LANs.
Category 6/6a/6e
Cat 6 cables are designed for operating frequencies up to 250 MHz and are often used especially in the professional sector. With longer lengths, the transmission speed suffers, but small overlengths are harmless depending on external influences. Application fields for Cat 6 are voice and data transmission as well as multimedia and ATM networks.
