Credit notes

A credit note has been issued – what do I do next?

You have not yet paid the original invoice

The credit note is for the same amount as the original invoice.

As there is a zero balance, you do not need to take any further action.

The credit note is for a lower amount than the outstanding invoices.

As there is a balance in our favour, please deduct the credited amount from the outstanding invoiced amount and pay us just the difference, quoting the reference number shown on the payment slip for the last invoice.

You have already paid the original invoice

The credit note is for a higher amount than the outstanding invoices or there are currently no invoices outstanding.

As there is a balance in your favour, you do not need to take any further action. Your customer account will continue to show a credit to be used for future orders. This credit can be offset against any future invoices.

If you would rather receive a payment of the credit, please e-mail our accounts department providing the credit note number and your bank details.
