The Brother PT QL-820NWB is one of the first professional desktop label printers that can print 2-color labels in red and black using direct thermal technology. This gives you a whole new level of clarity in your files, folders, shelves, storage media name or price tags. With the separately available rechargeable battery, you can expand the device into an independent, mobile label printing system.
Integrated cutting unit
This printer has an integrated cutting unit that cuts off the print media after printing. When using continuous label or receipt rolls, you have the option of creating printed products with individual lengths.
Direct thermal printing: cost-efficient and simple
This printer uses the direct thermal process. Here, a special, temperature-sensitive material is printed. The heat causes this to discolor. Apart from special thermal paper, you do not need any additional consumables. This makes this printer easy to use and creates less waste. However, due to the temperature sensitivity of the media, the printouts are less durable. Direct thermal printing is therefore particularly recommended for applications where the short shelf life is not a disadvantage and cost efficiency is the primary concern – for example, sales slips, luggage tags, shipping labels or tickets.
